Chance at any top 10-15 schools?

Hows it going everyone. Would like some input from people on this board if I have any competitive shot at a school rank within the top 15.

Go to a state school in NY.


Double Major Accounting + Financial Management
GPA: 3.4 Overall (3.6 upper level for junior/senior year)
GMAT: 600

Extra Curricular: Residential Life Assistant, President of Business Fraternity
Work Experience: Law firm, Financial internship in New York stock exchange, Pending Big 4 second round interview..

Top choices/ schools applying to :
Texas A&M
Florida State University

Need some more advice and input which schools I should consider. THank for help. Am interested in Tax field also

What is your goal? Unless you have a very specific reason that you need to get into a top program, I would strongly recommend going to a cheap program that's going to be recruited for by the Big 4 in the city you want to work in. For example, if you want to work in Washington DC, then the Big 4 will be recruiting heavily at UVA, William & Mary, Virginia Tech, JMU, and to a lesser extent Maryland, GW, George Mason, and VCU. So, if your goal is to get into audit at the Big 4 in DC, going to JMU would be a smarter decision that going to a program that's technically higher in ranking.

If you have really specific needs, then a top program might make sense. But at the end of the day, it's a MACC. The goal is to get a job in audit, and to do that you need to go where the recruiters from your city are.
