Chance of acceptance [#permalink]

In advance, thanks for your help. I am curious my chances for a top 5 acceptance.
-I received a 740 on the GMAT, a 45(77%)Q 47(99%)V 5(61%)AWA
-My undergrad GPA is 3.36 my major was Architectural Engineering with a dual emphasis and a minor in business administration at the University of Colorado. Member of the Chi Epsilon Honor society, academic scholar and deans list
-Masters of Science degree in Real Estate and Construction Management, GPA is 3.7 at the University of Denver. Member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor society.
-I have 4.5 years of work experience. I am currently employed at a consulting engineering firm as a project manager.
-I have received the following accreditations:
Professional Engineering License (PE)
LEED AP (US green building council)
-Extracurricular activities:
University of Denver Real estate club Director of external events
Engineers without borders Denver professional’s chapter (nonprofit organization) director of fundraising
Was a member of the CU lacrosse team

Kolesar,
Pretty impressive, but perhaps not unusual enough for Stanford and Harvard. Your chances at--assuming these schools are in your top 5-- Chicago, Kellogg, and Wharton (and especially Wharton given their real estate strengths) are better though hardly money in the bank. I'm assuming your age is 27-29. If older this weakens your chances.
So all in all I'd say aiming for C, K, and W will be a moderate longshot, but you should be able to get into top 10 schools based on the bare-bones profile you gave me. Again, if there are red flags you didn't mention that would change things.

No redflags. Curious as to what I can do to bolster my profile, as I am not planning on going to school until '09, FYI I will be 28 at matriculation. Also can you point out where you see some possible weaknesses. Thank you for your help.

I frankly don't see weaknesses. Just keep doing what you're doing. Pursue leadership and impact opportunities. Begin networking with people at your target schools. Make sure your chosen recommenders understand the difference between 98% of all reco letters and the super ones that can make a difference (see my book). If you have time to do something distinctive to add a little extra zest to your application (e.g., some unusual hobby, etc.) than do so. But otherwise, you're on the right track.
