Chances At MS Accounting Programs? [#permalink]

These stats are hypothetical but I'm curious to see if I had these stats, what would my chances be at these schools?

GPA: 3.2 (Freshman-Junior year)... 3.8 Junior Year & 2.9 Freshman/Sophomore year
Majors: Math & Sociology
GMAT: 750

UT-Austin
Notre Dame
Wisconsin
USC
UNC-Chapel Hill
Michigan
UVA
Binghamton (NY resident)

MS accounting programs really look at 2 things. GPA and GMAT. some want work exp but since their MS program is 5th yr program to meet CPA req for their undergrads, it isn't a critical issue.

i would say you are a lock on Binghamton, and Wisconsin.

Schools like UT Austin, Notre Dame, Michigan, UVA, UNC and USC are ranked in prestigious Public Accounting Report. This publication annually ranks schools and CPA firms.

But I would say as long as you can express why you want MS, you are a lock on most of these schools. Try to go to top 25 program in cities. Easier to get jobs after graduation.
