Kudos (?): 1 (0), given: 0

(Note: I'm still a senior in college. Haven't taken the GMAT yet, but from practice tests I anticipate a 720-770)

Education: HYP, GPA: 3.9, Phi Beta Kappa

Exams: GMAT: 750?

Work Experience: High performing investment banking analyst at a regional office of a top investment bank (Goldman Sachs / Morgan Stanley), interned summer before graduation at a NY office of another bulge bracket bank where I was considered a top summer analyst. Hoping to get an offer from a large size PE firm on the west coast in the next couple of years. (2 years IBD + 2 years PE)

Letters of Rec - No idea yet

Extracurriculars: Not going to have much time while an IBD analyst - any suggestions? In college, I had leadership positions in our corporate finance club (VP), consulting group (Co-Founder, Director), and pre-med society (I was premed at first). I volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged high school students, at the hospital nearby, and as an EMT.

Post MBA Goals: PE all the way

Target Schools: Stanford, Harvard, Wharton, Booth

Your going to need to work for your 2 years at GS/MS then work in a PE shop such as KKR/TPG and apply for business school. Most PE guys post-MBA have PE experience prior to attending B-school. You will be heavily recruited your first year to make sure you are getting good deal experience and then interview for PE shops. Go to Wallstreetoasis for more information.

I visit WSO often already, thanks for the input though.

What if I don't get an offer from a megafund, but rather a MM PE firm?
