Chances of getting into Top 50?? [#permalink] New post 16 Aug 2010, 07:41
Hello All,

This my first post. I am curious to know if anyone can give me some feedback on whether or not I have a god chance of getting into a Top 50(even Top 25) B-School if I took the GMAT 6 years ago(right after college),scored poorly (below 500), and sat for the test last december and decided not to complete the exam? Do I still have a pretty good chance of getting into a Top 50 B-School?

Background:
29 years old
6 years Work Exp
3.3 GPA

Thanks

Profile is pretty on-par for a good b-school depending on your GMAT score.

Don't be discouraged!

I'm going to chime in with what I know.

Your GMAT score is only valid for 5 years --- the score that you got 6 years ago should be expunged from your record.

Score decently on GMAT and you should have a pretty good chance. You can also consider part-time programs since they have lower GMAT averages across the board for the most part.
