I am engineer from Mumbai University with 80.83, 54.83 and 56.94% percent in 10th, 12th and Engineering respectively.
I also have 40 months of work experience in the digital marketing space (now I am in a start-up, heading the SEO operations) and want to shift tracks a bit to move into a program like TAS or others of its ilk.
In order to have the knowledge and the chance of making it, I would want to take the GMAT with the sole intention of joining ISB.
Given the poor acads, do I have a chance of making it to ISB. Also are there any other colleges abroad that I might stand a chance. I want to take the exam only if I have a chance. Please let me know.
Well, lofty goals!
As you can imagine, the first step is the GMAT. If you can get a 720+, it will be helpful. Especially considering that your GPA is relatively low.
Obviously though, your profile is more than just a GMAT, although the GMAT is a necessary part. Your work success, advancement, as well as the progress of the startup you work for will also count.
And what about any extras? Leadership? Volunteer work? Extra currics? You'll need a bit of good stuff in these areas to make yourself a competitive candidate.
I hope this helps,
Best,
