change of getting into MBA School, advice wanted. Please help [#permalink] New post 04 Sep 2007, 13:40
I have been thinking of going to graduate school, but I have been having doubts if I will ever get into a school.

I graduated last year in August 2006 with a low gpa( not sure exactly what my cumulative gpa was but i think it was like 2.6 overall).

I haven't taken the GMAT, but i plan to. Or maybe i shouldn't take it if i have no change in ever getting into MBA school. I am a little depressed since i don't know much of what it requires to get into an MBA school.

Please help. Any advice will be appreciate it. Thank you

Sounds like you're in the very early stages of considering whether or not to apply to business school, which is good because it means that you have a lot of time. Think about some of the following:

* What would you do with an MBA in the short term?
* WHat are your longer-term career goals?
* What do you think would make you an appealing applicant? What leadership or extracurricular activities can you point to?
* What other weaknesses do you think are in your profile, that you could spend the next 2-3 years working on befroe applying?

Keep in mind that most people entering business school have 3-6 years of work experience. So, you have plenty of time!
