Waitlisted...3 waitlists and no acceptances. Guess I need to work on my interview skills for next year, assuming I don't get lucky and pulled off one of these WL's.

I seriously feel that it's because of my crappy interview I am waitlisted. Will it be ok if I ask my interviewer for a feed back ? What do you guys think?

Maybe it's something out of your control, like limited work experience? Or maybe you could provide some supplementary letters of rec?

If you retake the GMAT increasing your score and get in off the waitlist, does the school consider you for scholarship with the new GMAT score? Please help me with this. Thanks a lot and congrats to all the admits.

I highly doubt it... I have been pondering about this issue myself, but it makes no sense...

I imagine that they consider for scholarships all students admitted before a certain date (while scholarship funds still exist). Admits are admits. That said, consideration and selection are two different things.

Waitlisters do not fret! I've met some R1'ers who are deciding between different schools and some have actually decided to not take Booth's offer (silly silly people ;) )

Submitted application to R3. Now fingers crossed.
However, one of my recommenders didn't manage and planning to submit tomorrow. How Booth treats late recommenders?

Also, I provided my TOEFL score but did not send score report yet. But, i've indicated that i graduated from university where language of instruction is English. I hope it is not an issue.

Congratulations who got in!!!

In some of the live chats, the ad com has indicated that they accept recommenders up to a week late.

Good luck!

Does any current student know when Booth starts its background checks and what third-party they use?

Does anyone have a perspective on how much of the Booth community is devoted to an immersive b-school experience vs. a commuter type situation? Given that folks live away from campus and spend less time there as a result (vs. say HBS) and the fact that there's no core curriculum or long-term cohorts, it seems like it's much easier for everyone to be doing their own thing with affiliation mostly through student groups. I'm concerned it won't be the type of experience you would have at Wharton or HBS or Kellogg where everyone is in the b-school bubble for two years (and to clarify, I want this to be a bubble of sorts for the time I'm there).
