Thanks. You can submit your application before the recommenders submit. Agreed. I sent in my application yesterday afternoon, about 3 hours before my recommender sent hers in. You'll get a notification when s/he does--no worries if it's before the deadline.

Even I had a problem with my credit card. But I was 7 minutes early! I don't think it'll be an issue. I guess you can mail up the AdCom to be safe.

Guys,
I was pacing with my Booth app and didn't notice that my app went in with a (very) small typo in the presentation essay. Reason to worry?
Appreciate any inputs. Thanks!

Take a look at the Yale thread, I'm in a similar situation. Since these two schools use EXACTLY the same online application system, I think you may be OK if you were logged in before the deadline. Check what your app review pdf says and also log out and log back into the system to see the status of your app. If both say R2 (as is the case in my Yale app) I think (hope) we're both OK.

Hey, Good to know that I'm not alone, I did log out and log in. It does say Round 2. And so does the app pdf. On the bright side, I got a mail from Chicago Booth Full-Time Admissions at 4:25 confirming my submission. Guess ( rather Hope) they don't consider the payment as a part of the application that has to be submitted before the deadline.. You can also see if u ve got a mail from Yale.. ''Your application must be submitted by 5 p.m. (CT/Chicago time) on the day of the deadline in order to be considered for an application round. This includes receipt of all online and mailed-in materials. Applications submitted after a deadline will automatically be considered in the next round, as long as all materials are included with the application.''

Sorry, just read on the Yale thread that you hit the submit button after 5.
For what it's worth, I know of a person who applied to Rottman (Canada) 8 hours after the deadline and it was still considered in that round.

Wonder why booth changed its interview invite release from a rolling basis to notifying everyone on the same day. Makes that day insanely nerve wrecking.

Hi Guys, Phew!! Submitted my application 5 mins before deadline. During those last 10 mins couldn't even hear the phone ringing;). But during the preview after submitting the application I saw that the power point I had submitted was in total disarray. I don't know if the issue is with the application viewer or the ppt got messed up during the upload. Either ways I panicked!!! I sent an email to the admission committee about the same and I attached the pdf of the ppt just-in-case. Question is - was it a viewer issue and/or did I do the right job by emailing the ppt? I hope that my last minute mistake did not cost me Booth application. What do you guys think?

I asked someone the same question when I was on-campus. They did it because they got a lot of nervous people contacting them when they did it on a rolling basis. This way, everybody knows on the same day. Plus, Round 1's notification was at 9 AM CST, so its not really that long of a day before you find out.

Even my ppt got screwed while submitting. Even I was wondering if I should mail them my actual ppt. Let us know when you get a response from the ad-com.
In any case, I do not think it will have any bearing on your application. They would not mind you being extra-cautious.
