Has anyone who was told they got funding on the phone received any further information? Hoping to verify that I didn't imagine that part of the conversation.

Haha. I was thinking the same thing. I haven't seen anything formal re: scholarships. I'll give it another few days before I get too nervous.

The Booth admit website is pretty interactive. Lots and lots of good information...including a directory to locate other admits in your city.

And I just signed up for the February admit weekend! I can't wait!

Hi guys. I also was paranoid because I felt like I had misheard scholarship info.

I decided to write them an e-mail and they replied today. I turns out I had indeed misheard!!!

Either way they confirmed that fedex packages with scholarship info are being mailed today, so perhaps there's no need in writing them at this point.

I also keep wondering if I imagined the scholarship part, so I can't wait for those packages to arrive. I even hesitated to tell my boss just because I wanted to be 100% sure about the numbers... in the end I told him and when comparing Chicago to the other schools I was admitted to, he said "Chicago was already in a competitive position but with the scholarship, go there and don't look back." I love my boss, and I think he's right. As for the fedex... I live REALLY far away so it's going to take a while, but I'm just so excited about this.

Did anyone also get into Kellogg? I'm trying to figure out how to juggle both schools that have the EXACT same admit weekends. I really am torn between both programs, and was hoping separate admit weekends would help me decide.

I got into Kellogg as well and I'm not sure what I'll do for the admit weekend.

If I remember correctly, their admitted student weekends were on the same weekend last year, and I think some GMATClubbers were going to try to attend both.

For anyone that cares...

I've been told that the admitted students weekend in February starts at 8:30am on 2/10 and concludes around 7:30pm on 2/11.

Hotel prices are currently reasonable for those dates. I'll be up there Thursday-Sunday.

I'm planning to attend both the Booth and Kellogg admit weekends. How I actual juggle the weekends will be TBD until the actual schedules come out.

Looking forward to meeting everyone in February. Until then, I'll be trying to digest the massive amount of information on the Booth Admitted Students website and the Booth Portal.

You can log-in with the same ID you set up for the admitted students website. The portal contains info on pretty much anything you could want to know about (academics, campus facilities, career services, student life, etc.)

I think most of this is covered in the admitted students website at a high-level and we'll receive much more detail in the months to come. Having said that, the portal also contains a link to a secure community directory. As of now, you can only see the list of accepted Booth students. Just from skimming the directory, it looks like a very diverse and highly accomplished group.

I used it to see if there were any accepted students from my hometown -- sadly, there were none -- and my undergrad (there were a few).

I've been playing with the directory too. None from my undergrad, but a couple from my hometown.

Did you guys already create your email addresses? I logged in to the Portal and I guess it automatically had a Booth4Life email for me. If I can change it, though, I will... I haven't done too much searching but I've seen there's one admit working in the same city as me. Haven't checked for fellow undergrad alumni or hometown folks.

It created the address for me when I first logged on. I would like I change it also. It cuts off the last letter of my name. I'll shoot them to ask of that's possible.

I have the same issue. I wonder why my account name does not include neither my first nor my last name :-D

Hope it is possible to change it.

Where did you find the community directory with information on admitted students? I only have 4 communities available (Course Search, Faculty Directory, Full-Time MBA, Welcome) and don't find anything when I search for "Student" or "Admitted".
