I got into F'09 FT MBA at Booth this past week. A fellow Gclubber pointed out that Tampa bay Rays recruited at Booth in recent years. Can anyone tell me any information related to this? 1) Was it for internship or post MBA job? 2) In what? Front office? 3) Any other info? Thank you.

Can a current Booth student provide a link or mention what the academic honors are at Booth? Is it just Dean's List or are there named one (e.g. Baker Scholar at HBS or Miller scholar at Stanford)?

Hi,
I'm planning a visit to Chicago GSB this June. Does the school prefer students to visit the admissions office? I know that some schools don't track visits, but some do and weigh them in your application. Would appreciate any insights, thanks.

Hey guys,
I'm trying to reconcile Booth's reputation as more of a quant jock/geeky school with their presentation and application materials. There seems to be a rather strong focus on EC's and community activity in their materials and their recommendations even go so far as to suggest that your second recommendation be from a nonprofessional source. Understanding that few top business school students are really "geeky" in traditional sense of having absolutely no social skills, what is the reality here?

You should visit there if you have a chance. yes, I should have mentioned that all the members here that are going to booth or really liked booth appear to be both accomplished and friendly and not necessarily of the quant jock mold. Just trying to find the middle ground here, I definitely intend to visit booth as I feel I discarded them too early in my search this year.
