Short Term Goal: Strategic planning, finance and management consulting Long Term Goal: Technology based Enterpreneurship Location: WDC suburb (yes, travel to Chicago will cost about $40K+ in flight tickets over the 2.5 years) PS: I had admission offer from Georgetown Evening MBA, which I have declined.

Hi again,
Congrats on getting into Chicago! I voted for Chicago, but I don't think it's easy to vote.
If you really are trying to change careers, I'm leaning Chicago, but transportation is the big issue. However, Chicago is the better school as well overall.
Darden still has a great network and is also an A-list school, and you certainly can't go wrong there either. Good luck. This is a good problem to have!

Congrats on getting into both schools. You have a great problem many people wish they could have!
1: Both are great schools. You will learn what you want at both schools. 2: Alumni network is great at both schools. Where do you want to live and want your network to be? Centered in the Midwest or Mid Atlantic/East Coast? 3: The program formats are very different. Booth weekend MBA is a part time MBA and Darden's MBA for Executives is designed for current managers and executives. Avg age and work experience are very different. In a Darden Executive MBA class you are sitting next to consultants who have climbed the corporate ladder for 15 years, a CEO who started her company from scratch and grew it to have her products sold in every Whole Foods store in America, and a Senior Vice President at a large healthcare firm. 4: Based on your location in DC and $40K in travel costs to Chicago, that is very significant difference. 5: Teaching format: Case study focused versus blended. As taught at Darden, the case study method systematically prepares students to take action: to make solid business decisions that benefit the whole enterprise. 6: Check out Darden's entrepreneurship opportunities http://www.darden.virginia.edu/web/Executive-MBA/Career-Advancement/Entrepreneurship/
Please see a comparison of stats in the spreadsheet. I hope this helps. Send me a PM if you have any specific questions.
