Essay 2: If the admissions committee were to interview one of your closest colleagues, what aspect of your personal development would this person say is especially important for the admissions committee to know?
How did you guys answer this?
Are they asking what we think our closest colleagues would say or do they want us to directly ask our closest colleagues and find out what they would actually say?

I'm interested in this as well. How much did you focus on the "development part" and how much did you just write about this particular trait or strength and how you demonstrated it?

I read some posts about this topic on the GSB forums. The adcom suggests that this is really an exercise in self awareness and introspection. They want you to think about how your colleague might see you. So without actually asking someone else, just try to look at your personal development from an outside perspective.
PS - I just reread what I wrote and I apologize for my horrid explanation. but I need to spend more time on my GSB app and less on this forum
