Hello Scott and Omari!!!!

First off let me say that I LOVED your book and appreciate your feedback on this forum. I have a little problem that I wanted your advice on.

I was accepted to Cornell several months ago and was really looking forward to attending but recently got off the waitlist for U Chicago. To be honest I really didn't like Chicago all that much and was looking forward to the small strong collaborative community of Cornell.

My problem is though I'm leaning toward Cornell and want to work in finance (I'm in finance now) am I crazy to pick Cornell over Chicago? Also, it seems that Chicago has a better rep on Wall Street from a few people I've spoken to, is this true? Would picking Cornell over Chicago hurt my career? Please tell me I'm not crazy to pick Ithaca over Chicago.

Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the book. Congrats on getting admitted to both schools -- that's great. If you feel better about Johnson, I'd say definitely go for it. It has some terrific finance courses and profs and has a solid rep on the street. Chicago is more traditionally respected -- partially because of tradition and legacy. Still, going to Chicago over Cornell really isn't going to open up more doors for you, so I wouldn't sweat it.
