Anyone else see the irony in the future GSB student saying something about Ross not being in the best area.

R.E.D- just as a FYI- you dont usually find men's clothes in Benetton here in the US R.E.D. wrote: Darden2010 wrote: For example Troy is gorgeus:) with one of the biggest shopping malls in the nation and is located in like the third richest county in the country. So... being close to Detroit has nothing to do with the niceness of the area around Detroit.
And somewhere near Troy is located the closest to AA Benetton store And, certainly, there is a big difference of living in Detroit city and in AA, the latter one is like a good, calm, college-style neighborhood and you think about its vicinity to Detroit really seldom.

Also, not that I speak on any reliable authority, but I'd be willing to bet that downtown Detroit could kick the holy stuffing out of Hyde Park. Just curious, but how many people commenting about this have spent time in any of these areas, Hyde Park, Detroit, Ann Arbor, or even Evanston? Speaking as someone who has, and not to burst anyone's respective bubbles, but they've all got their fair share of upsides and downsides.

Most definitely that the rough sections of Detroit would beat Hyde Park near GSB but then again Ross isnt in Detroit at all and unless our Ross buddies decide to go get some crack they wont be visiting those areas.

Another FYI: "Abercrombie" is a teenagers store. "Abercrombie & Fitch" is for adults. Dont want you to go to Abercrombie and find all the clothes small R.E.D. wrote: dosa_don wrote: R.E.D- just as a FYI- you dont usually find men's clothes in Benetton here in the US Then, I do not mind of Abercrombie from Briarwood

Once I bought a decent backpack, comfortable, durable, nice-looking, with a soft laptop pocket inside. And my friends told me that The North Face brand is bought mostly by high school students Brands, brands, brands... I never came upon the issue of brand used by a certain group of people in Europe or in Russia. Usually brands are divided by level of income and it's so fun to see a next-door girl whose bag announces loudly "Dolce&Gabbana" and her boyfriend wears fake Vacheron Constantin watches. Some brands are worn by people who are rock fans, hip-hop/rap/r'n'b fans, but usually this clothing looks different too from other brands.

That's because you didn't mingle with football (soccer, eh) hooligans. They'd tell you of the importance of wearing proper gear - Lonsdale, or Fred Perry, or Lacost. Don't you, snowboarders, have brand attachment developed as well?

Don't you, snowboarders, have brand attachment developed as well? I came upon that choice on the return flight from US. It was Detroit-Frankfurt. I was chatting with a flight attendant when he noticed my bag for documents (a bag that is worn as a necklace) and asked if I was FC Schalke '04 fan (this was the writing on that bag). I replied that not, just wore this bag. And then he advised not to show it in the streets of Frankfurt, because FC Schalke '04 belongs to different region and I could get into troubles, by showing any passion for them The other time we had funny time buying a Manchester United t-shirt in sport stores of Birmingham. Snowboarders are not really aware about brands. There is a very famous and expensive brand "Burton" that is supposed to be bought by rich guys here Ah, and Oakley glasses/masks too. But I found it out only when I bought all my equipment...

Wearing arch-enemy's team gear is completely another story! As far as I understand that would be like wearing THIS cap in A2, right, Irishfan?

Bumping this for folks that have made their decisions after the recent R2 Kellogg and GSB admit weekends.
