Hello -
Can you please evaluate my profile and if possible -evaluate my chances for Kellogg, Booth and Kelley (looking for Part-Time - Full time is also a possibility) based on my age and heavy engineering/technical background (especially Civil Engineering)
Age: 30 - Married
Country of Citizenship : India - US Green Card Holder
GMAT: First Attempt 680 - retaking GMAT in couple of months - Hoping for mid 700s (most likely will get that). Please evaluate based on a score of 680

- 6 years (not including Graduate School ) in the Civil/Environmental Engineering Consulting for the #1 Environmental Engineering Consulting Firm in USA (CH2M HILL). CH2M HILL Ranked Best Place to work for (Fortune 100- 4 times); Most Ethical Company (past 5 years), Fortune 500 Company; etc., etc.,
- Worked as Lead Design Engineer for several projects up to $50 MM fees, Asst Project Manager for projects up to $1 MM fees; lead engineer on the Winner of the Midwest's best water project; received several awards within the company.

- Vice President of the Society of Civil Engineers (most prestigious student body in South India) - successful in gathering sponsors (up to 1MM INR for the yearly technical conferences)
- involved in several professional organizations (Rotary Club, Leo Club) and student organizations within the university - (one of the reasons for the low GPA in my undergrad).
-Involved in UNICEF Fund, Save the Children Organizations, active blood donor and volunteer occasionally for food drives in South Chicago
- Heavily involved in trading Stocks, Options (Calls and Puts) – have pulled in 70% returns for the past two years. Manage investments for my retired in-laws.
Versatile in 3 languages (English, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, German, Polish)
MBA goal:
Interested in strategy, operations and marketing - with aim of going back to either large consulting firms (top 5) or Engineering/Construction Firms - I have noticed that there aren't many MBAs in/for this industry - will be my main selling point on why I need a MBA.
Will get excellent recommendations from my employer.
- Looking to join a part-time program. (Full time is a possibility !!!!)
- As my wife is pursuing PhD in Chicago - I am looking only at Kellogg / Booth (with Kelley as a distant option)
- If I get 700 plus in couple of months - will apply for Summer Quad (part-time) or R1 for Full time.
I would greatly appreciate if you can look into this and let me know your opinion - suggestions and possibilities (realistic)
Thank you!
