(C) for past tense parallelism

....worked...sipped...noticed...seemed disoriented.

C should be it.

Correct tenses all the way..there is no need for the -ing form as its not a cause-effect sentence

I was between C and A but got rid of A because it sounded to me that night is sipping coffee.

I had a similar observation to bhai. In A, sipping doesn't have the correct antecedent.

Its between A and C..
C seems most appropriate.
