CMU Tepper vs UM Ross

Hi All,

Can some body please shed some light on the major diff between CMU and Ross. I was thinking of applying to Ross but I am still strugling with my essays. I am not sure if should I postphone for R3... I have an admit from CMU. So if I postphone Ross for R3 and dont get it ... what am I gonna be loosing by attending CMU instead.

IMO, Ross is a much stronger overall school than Tepper. I don't know much about Tepper, but Ross is a management focused school. It has a strong sustainability program.
It will be difficult to gain admittance in R3, because most of the slots are filled.

I don't know if you will be missing out on anything if you don't get in Ross and decide to go to Tepper. Tepper is a respectable school and will offer you around the same job opportunities (maybe slightly less). If I were to choose between delaying MBA a year w/ the hope of getting in Ross next year or going to Tepper this year, I'd choose Tepper.

Ross is a better school compared to Tepper. Ross is strong in GM/consulting.It is not that Tepper doesn't help you in getting into those roles but the opportunities at Ross are more.

Applying in R3 doesn't help you.
