Columbia campaign speech essay?? [#permalink]

Hey, For those of you who are applying to Columbia and plan to write the campaign speech essay, do you find yourself mentioning things that you put in your resume? I think it's hard to make it seem like a separate and distinct essay, especially when it deals with accomplishments you'd like to highlight to your peers.

I wrote this essay and did not mention anything in my resume or any accomplishment. Why would you brag to your classmates who are also accomplished about something you did? Think community here. I personally wrote about cluster chair... I spoke about my credentials while also acknowledging that my fellow classmates are also very qualified and capable people but that I'm unique because xyz which is what I think gives me a slight edge. Humility + Community are key here
