Companies that Pay for your MBA [#permalink] New post 30 Nov 2006, 10:40
Hey I wanted to start a post for some individuals that know of companies that pay for a significant amount of your MBA or partial... from my research here's what i found... I am looking mainly in chicago but i thought it would be helpful for everyone in different areas.

Banks pay approximately 80%
Accounting firms (Big 4) pays for classes that apply to your job only and a max of approx 6K which is chump change for some of these schools :)

Please add to the list it would help me ALOT

Thanks!!!

:-D

What are you using the list for?

Just work for the best company you can and if you have to pay for the MBA by yourself, just do it.

Well i'm moving to chicago and if i can find a position at a company that pays for it then I'd like to use it... its easier said then done.. i have personal commitments and some sacrifices i'm willing to make to get some of my school paid for... anywho i thought it would be helpful for myself... thanks for the concern though

you have to be working for the company for a certain amount of time before you can take advantage of tuition reimbursement. also, you will have to commit to that company for x number of years post mba. this is what i've come across at least.

I know some but they are consulting firms and I wouldnt suggest working at any of them while you try and do a part time mba.

I know nearly all big consulting firms (and consulting departments of the Accounting Big 4) usually pay for 100% of tuition fees. Some of them will only sponsor you at certain schools (where they have cooperation agreements), while others will let you choose.
As someone already mentioned though, in order to enjoy their sponsorship, you've got to sign a contract saying you won't leave the firm for the 2 years following the MBA.
Hope this helps

Not just the 2 year contract issue but also usually requires a minimum amount of time with the firm to be considered for it - typically this is a year at most companies I know. Keep in mind that a LOT don't pay 100%...

I shoulda stayed at the firm that did pay 100% :(
