Completing M.B.A and now look to going into EMBA at IVY [#permalink]
14 Nov 2009, 21:34
I will be completing my M.B.A in Investment Finance and Information technology from CUNY this year. I had enrolled into the M.B.A program b.c I had not be sponsored for H-1b visa. Fortunately, I am a U.S citizen. .I have over 7 years of work experience, and am a Assistant Vice President at Citigroup and manage a team of 15ppl.
I want to get into EMBA from Wharton or Columbia but am concerned that my G.P.A in college and the partime M.B.A is to low. If I score a 720 on my GMAT now what are my chances making it.
BBA in Business Management - G.P.A 2.8 M.B.A - G.P.A: 3.1
I had taken my GMAT's 7 years ago, and the score was not to great. Will my GMAT score be an issue?
Thank you for help.

EMBA2011,
Given your professional successes and age, a 720 should minimize your worries about your undergrad GPA. Your real problem is the MBA you're just completing. You will have a very hard time convincing schools that you need another MBA when you just got one. I don't see a way around this.
Good luck,
