Can some one please tell me the subject over here-

Samantha, in addition to Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda, (is, are) going to the beach on Saturday.

SAMANTHA, IN ADDITION TO X, IS GOING TO BEACH.
where X = Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda

Additive Phrases.:
along with
in addition to
accompanied bY
together with
as well as
includIng

Unlike AND, additive phrases do not form compound subjects. Rather, additive phrases function
as modifiers and therefore cannot change the number of the subject.

Hence IN ADDITION TO X ==>this part is acting as a modifier hence SUBJECT = SAMANTHA.
