Hello,

I currently work in health care. I work in a smaller hospital but was recently offered a position at a hospital listed on US News and World report honor roll of Best Hospitals in the US.
The downside is that the schedule here consists of evenings and overnights which I am not used to.
But, my goal is a top MBA school, Wharton Health Care Management is my #1 choice.
I see that at many top MBA programs many admitted are from Goldman, McKinsey and other prestigious firms.
Considering all things equal, does work experience from a more prestigious hospital matter at all in terms of being admitted?

Thanks

Your professional experience is more important that the organization. Admissions committees want to know how you perform in a professional environment. It helps if you can show career progression and increased responsibility. You should also be able to provide examples of leadership, innovations, and teamwork. That said, choose the organization that will provide you the most diverse and challenging work experience.
