Hjort,

I am a young professional who has decided to give his best application to top MBA schools in this upcoming R3. I am going to give you a quick overview of my stats and perhaps you would be so kind as to provide guidance as to where I should/can realistically apply or whether the best idea would be to hold off for later years.

GMAT: 690 - I am retaking the test at the end of the month because I was disappointed with my score and my ambition is top tier school.
GPA: 3.9 - I hail from a small school, but I did get a 4.0 the last 5 semesters, so it could be argued I mastered the school.
WE: 1-1.5 yr. - I work at a small web/ecommerce startup. I think I can phrase my essays to show that this is very good WE. I also did a LDS Mission for two years in Germany (pre-graduation).
Recommendations: My boss loves me, but he doesn't have the best accolades and a friend/employer who has a UofT MBA.
Essays: I think I can write interesting, strong essays.

I am looking for a strong marketing/entrepreneurial school with some international flavor.

I am planning on applying to IU Kelley. I believe I have a strong chance at acceptance and it seems to have a nice fit.
I want to apply to NYU and Stanford. We should all dream and perhaps I have a small chance. Should I try? and are there any other schools that I am overlooking that you would say may fit my profile? Any other Advice?

Thank you.

Whats your gender and nationality. I think that will dictate your chances, based on the numbers you gave.

I am a Male and American. I also hope/expect to get a 740-ish as I was in that range with the GMATPrep before taking the test the first time.
