At this game, INSEAD is the winner by far (even compared to Harvard)

What I've heard frequently on this board and BW was that many of those who go to INSEAD are McKinsey consultants who were sponsored by the company. Not sure if this was proven, but it could explain how that school places so well at M/B/B.

I also have heard this about INSEAD.

I think Insead's advantage doesnt come from sponsored students its the fact that its the top MC school in all of Europe. So they have tons of offices to feed into and not many schools to compete with. Some of the big 3's largest offices are in Europe so it stands to reason that they are going to hire a lot of students for them.

Just open the link I provided above at suggested page (29).

You have the number of former employees written. INSEAD is very transparent about this, which is not the case of the US schools (and I guess there are a lot of former McK/Bain/BCG employees at H/S/W too ;))

Edit : out of the 243+ people going in management consulting, 73 were former employees (including 58 from M/B/B!)

That is impressive. However, how realistically is it for non traditional background career changers to transition into M/B/B?
