Converting CR to logic statements [#permalink]

Hi
I am a newbie to this forum. I read on the logic rules page that almost all (if not all) CR can be converted into the "if-then" logic rules. I am not able to do this very easily. Does anyone know of any easy way of doing this?
As an example, could you try to convert the following(picked from CR lesson page) into the logic rule format.
Note:I don't know if it is possible to convert the below question, I was just trying the logic rules out on this qn.
For sinus pain, three out of four hospitals give their patients Novex.
So when you want the most effective painkiller for sinus pain, Novex
is the one to choose.
Which of the following, if true, most seriously undermines the advertisement's
argument?
(A) --
(B) --
(C) Many drug manufacturers increase sales of their products to hospitals
by selling these products to the hospitals at the lowest price the
manufacturers can afford.
(D) Unlike some competing brands of painkillers, Novex is available
from pharmacies without a doctor's prescription.
(E) --

This statement can be rewritten as "IF you want the most effective painkiller for sinus pain, THEN Novex is the one to choose."
what are the other answer choices?

I assume you're referring to the pdf file that's available in gmatclub. I haven't used that rule, but for the example you gave, carloz summarized it very nicely.

I picked this question up from the following link:
http://www.gmatclub.com/content/courses/verbal/cr.php
It just talks about strategies when tackling a CR and gives this example and how to eliminate choices.
In this case, it seems we are left with only D or E.
There is no answer given but my answer for this is D.

No, the answer should be C. If cost is the reason why hospitals use Novex, then the argument that it's used because it is effective can be challenged.
This is not a logic CR question. A logic CR question usually tells you about how the author arrives at the conclusion by observing a general trend, then ask you to pick from 5 choices, one which follows that line of reasoning.
