Cornell (Johnson) 2013 - Calling All Applicants

That's a long wait... Where's the merciful God!!!

I'm visiting Ithaca next week for an R2 interview. Do any Cornell Johnson students or previous visitors have any recommendations or must-do's oncampus or otherwise Ithaca-related? I'm hoping the campus isn't blanketed with snow, since all places look the same under 12 inches of frozen precipitation!

And it just doesn't get over. Verification processes. Overlapping deposit deadlines. Nerve wrecking!

I remember someone reporting how he had an on-campus interview scheduled, but could not reach the campus due to snow storms despite being a 5-hour drive away. Now, you certainly must be better informed than me on weather conditions there, but a heads-up on outside possibilities.

Yep, fortunately the snow doesn't look too intense. Still would be nice to see the actual ground though.

I am a R2 international applicant, submitted my application on Nov 28th.

I recently checked my application and the status shows incomplete. Says that my GMAT and TOEFL scores weren't reported, although when I checked my GMAT was reported on 11/29/12 and TOEFL was reported on 01/12/12.

I have sent out a mail to the adcom about this. Anything else I should be doing? Anyone else who has faced the same issue?

Does anyone know if Cornell Johnson admit calls come a day before the decision date or could come even sooner?

I got my call the day before the official deadline in Round 1...most schools seem to do this. I wouldn't expect any news far in advance of the decision deadline.

Hi, Do I-Banks such as Goldman and Citi or Consults (MBB) have a lower GMAT cut-off ?

I'm not recruiting for either banking or consulting, so I'm definitely not an expert, nor do I have any inside information on this. If you ask the banks and consulting firms, they will always say they don't have a cut-off, but most of them require your GMAT score on your resume. So although they may not have a cut-off, your GMAT score is probably a factor. But just like the b-school application process, there's more to your story than just your GMAT score.

Criteria also vary from firm to firm, so some banks or consulting firms may emphasize the score more than others. But I did have a friend who is a second year with a GMAT score that's less than 650, who got an interview with McKinsey. He networked like crazy though.

Hi, can you elaborate what this means? I.e. going to company presentations, contacting Johnson alum @ McKinsey, etc, etc.
