Hi!

When you see lots of clauses and phrases, think modification.

The problem with D is the phrase "that involves the introduction of dye"; since that phrase immediately follows "coronary disease", that's what it modifies. However, that doesn't make any sense; we want that phrase to modify "coronary angiography".

In C, we have a comma after disease, turning that whole clause into a parenthetical comment that we can ignore when evaluating the sentence. So, C actually reads:

Quote:
Coronary angiography, blah blah blah, involves the introduction of dye...

which is exactly what we want.

There is only one small problem with the question: you have to understand what it says - and that can be sometimes a tricky part for non-native english speakers.
So for example, when you understand that the disease involves the introduction of a dye into the arteries, rather than the angiography, it is pretty easy to choose A and than just tap your forehead..

[A] [B] [E] can be eliminated easily as they contain "disease involving...".

Verb -ing modifiers without a comma before it ,modify the immediate noun before it.

[D] "..disease that involves the introduction.." also not correct.

Hence answer [C]
