I think C is grammatically correct if you see it from an overall view. But dont you think A give and convey a more concice meaning.

If you really think A is wrong, can you explain why?

I'm b/w A and C but A is a bit risky as they use gerund for no specific reason and C is more acceptable. But I think A give a clearer meaning.

angiography,....appositive and non-restrictive..., is now administered selectively, because it uses...

A is not correct. It implies that doctors diagnose a type of coronary disease that has introduction of a dye into the heart, which is nonsensical.
