could use some advice, 2 weeks until GMAT [#permalink] New post 13 Dec 2005, 12:34
i've only been on this forum a short while, i wish i had known about it earlier...regardless, i've been preparing for about 2 months now...my scores so far are:

Barrons in Sept = 530 (first test w/no studying)
PR in Oct = 590
Arco 3 weeks ago = 640
Kaplan last week = 650

i feel a lot better now and am more confident, i know i have improved...however, i know my GPA is not that great...if i scored a 650 on the actual exam, i would be content...but i dont want to be content, i want to score a 700...if i scored a 700, then i would be hopping around celebrating...

i've been tracking my scores in each type of question and i miss more DS and SC corrections than anywhere else....i've been doing kaplan, pr, and the OG....any suggestions? should i just keep re-doing the OG? the last thing i want is to go in there and score below a 650...are scores likely to drop in the actual gmat? which practice test is the most similar to the actual test?

first, you really need to take the GMATPrep test before your real test. This is the most realistic test - you can download from mba.com.

second, a 650 on Kaplan is pretty good. those tests are way harder than the actual.

most prep courses prescribe 2 CATs per week for 8 weeks. You've only taken 4, so you should definitely take at least one more before the actual.
