at what point during the process do they contact your recommendation contacts for a recommendation?

My recommendation contacts never were asked to send anything. I wish they were though as my professional experience really reflects my potential.

 Yes!! Got admittance e-mail today. I'm in with USD 55K schol! I applied in Round 2, and interviewed on 16th Feb.

Tom is a great person. Questions that I could recall were 1) why MBA, 2) why Cox, 3) what are my target companies, 4) where else I applied, 5) what are my short/long term goals, 6) How can I achieve these short/long term goals 7) A lot of questions related to my essay. I mean a lot. I was asked to elaborate, explain events that I described in my essays 8) how important scholarship is for me No curveballs, very conversational, all straight forward. I am in IT for last 4.5 years. G-660/T-111 India Hope it helps. Anil
