Hi People,
I have admits from the following two colleges
1. Southern Methodist University - Cox school of business (70000 USD scholarship)
2. Univeristy of Rochester - Simon Business School (55% Scholarship)
Simon is very good in finance, Cox is a very respected school in the Dallas area. Studying at Simon will be costly to me than at SMU Cox. I wish to join consulting after MBA.
Basically its between Cox or finance at Simon, I have talked to a few current students at Simon, and they are happy from their school, in addition to that the Simon has extensive connections in the finance area, so I might be able to make use of these connections to land a job in consulting.
On the other side, current students at Cox are not too enthusiastic about their school, this is making me worried if I choose cox and dont like it there.
Also I have doubts about location, Simon is very near to NYC and Toronto, even chicago is manageable (overnight), whereas with Cox its Dallas and Atlanta. But I do not think that in this age, distance will be a major factor.
I am just unable to come to a decision. Please guide me in deciding where should I go.
Regards
