Dude,

I am from india and have a cgpa of 7.49/10. Is it mandatory to convert this in a sclale of 3. If so do we use simple maths to convert or do colleges provide a factor. Please elicit.

There is no point converting grades to another scale. If schools want to perform any conversion they can do so on their own.
