GMAT PREP 2 question ....

We're looking to strengthen Calex telecom's position on offering wireless services to farmers on the small island of Caladia.

From the given premises, we can infer that Caladian farmers can't afford the current prices of Calex' services. However, if the use of these wireless services enhances their business, they may be able to afford them in the future, resulting in profitability for Calex.

(A) Correct. Strengthens the argument per explanation above
(B) Weakens the argument
(C) Irrelevant. Compares to land-line costs, which is outside the scope of the argument
(D) Irrelevant. The costing strategy is outside the scope of this argument
(E) Irrelevant. Had this example listed a similar island, it could have been a potential answer

A gives a serious reason to sustain the fact that the company will have clients because they need a phone in order to increase their revenues.
