Can someone please explain how to solve this...I always thought that assumption can't be something that is stated in the passage. It has to be implicit. But the answer to this questions has surprised me...
Please explain to everyone's benefit.

A is my answer. If they consume fewer calories then, they can maintain their weight. They do not seem to do so.

A, the assumption is people will be overweight again because they can't maintain their diet.

Another A
It assumes that obese people will not consume less food compared to normal people of the same weight .
B is out of scope.

I am going with A on this one as well and agree with ivymba's explanation...overweight individuals have to consume more food at the lower weight to regain back the weight that they lost.
So, the OA is A?

One more for A. Author assumes that overweight people will not be able to maintain the habit of eating fewer calories.
