CR - Mr.Janeck Vs Ms.Siuzdak.....Hard, Medium, Easy?? [#permalink]

Question Stats:
0% (00:00) correct
0% (00:00) wrong based on 0 sessions
Mr. Janeck: I dont believe Stevensen will win the election for governer. Few voters are willing to elect a businessman with no political experience to such a responsible public office.
Ms. Siuzdak: You're wrong. The experience of running a major corporation is a valuable preparation for the task of running a state goverment.
Ms. Siuzdak's response shows that she has interpreted Mr. Janeck's remark to imply which of the following?
A) Mr. Janeck considers Stevenson unqualified for the office of governer.
B) No candidate with out political experience has ever been elected governor of a state.
C) Mr. Janeck believes that political leadership and business leadership are closely analogous.
D) A career spent in the pursuit of profit can be an impediment to one's ability to run a state goverment fairly.
E) Voters generally over estimate the value of political experience when selecting a candidate.
Pls explain your answer choice. OA will follow after some discussion.......

My choice would be A.
B - is out because its a extreme choice - 'No candidate...'
C - Au contraire. She does not think they are analogus. Its Siuzdak who thinks that way.
D - Very generic - not particularly relevant to the stevenson situation here.
E - Voters psyche is out of scope to some extent. Here we are concerned with what Janet implied.

I am picking up E because nowhere it is implied that "Mr. Janeck considers Stevenson unqualified for the office of governer". He is just representing views of the voters and E clearly is opposite to that stated by Ms. Siuzdak. Thus, I feel E is the answer.
A is just a contender I believe.

A clearly. She is giving an explaination to what she understands as "potential disqualification" on grounds of public inexperience.
