well i can tell you this. i started my GMat prep with kaplan and haven’t touched the OG until about 2 weeks ago. And tell you the truth i felt i was very ready for the CR in the OG ( the SC is another story haha ). the diagnostic is harder than most of the practice questions you get in the book but i think it gives you a good idea what you will see on your real exam ( if you are going for a high score as im sure you are ) so get ready to do some work and slowly start going through the actual CR section of the OG... the trick with CR is proving why every answer besides the right one is wrong ... don’t just look for the right answer but take your time and prove to yourself that everything else is wrong for this exact reason. You wont have time to do this on the real test but you will get rather good at making decisions to toss out wrong answer choices ... Good luck !!

I wouldn't say that the CR section in OG11 diagnostic test is difficult. You definitely need more time to answer all the questions, but in my opinion, Kaplan's CR (especially in GMAT800) is much harder. I've never been excellent in CR, I'm not a native speaker, but I got in CR diagnostic in OG11 only one answer wrong.

GMAT800 CR is definitely a notch above the othe usual prep material. Same is true for RC.

In fact, I found GMATPrep questions tougher than OG 11 questions. I am working on the OG right now, and I started each section from the last question. I wanted to cover the tough questions first, just in case, I run out of time and do not get to complete all the questions in OG.

I am taking the test on May 1. Anybody else out there for May 1 or similar?
