Hi venmic,

"rule out the fluff" is a sign that you're just reading through the answer choices, looking for a good one--it's no wonder that you're having trouble! The key to test day success, for both CR and RC questions, is to predict an answer before you look at the answer choices. Finding the match to your prediction is far simpler than individually evaluating 5 tempting choices for validity. On Critical Reasoning questions, make sure that you're identifying the question type before you read the text, and that you're identifying all the parts of each argument. For reading comprehension, make sure you're taking careful notes on the text so you can locate and research relevant information.

Finally, here is a little something that my help on inference CR questions.

Keep up the good work, and good luck!
