Hi,
I am new to forum but was following it for a long time.
I would like to hear your thoughts about my situation.
I am 30+ working in IT field (over 5 years), holding an MS degree in engineering and living in a EU candidate country.
Although I would like to get an MBA degree, currently due to economic conditions it is not possible.
However, I got a local scholarship for MS study in Europe.
I got acceptance from two schools : Crandfield - MS in Finance and Management, and HEC Paris - MS in strategic management.
My main objective is to work as a management consultant in an international company after the MS.
My own thoughts about these schools are:
-Although HEC Paris is a higher than Cranfield in rankings, job opportunities in UK is much more pleasurable than in France.
-Strategic management is given just a one term course in some MBA programs, thus does it really worth to obtain an MS degree in it, I am not sure.
-Since Cranfield gives also finance related courses I believe that it is more that just management. Thus, it is may be more suitable for future career.
-On the other hand HEC is well known across EU, and it may be the case that after HEC I may find jobs in UK and Germany.
These are all that I can say know, and I am not sure which program is superior than other. Considering the current economic conditions of EU and country policies about foreign workers, can you please share your opinions about these schools?
Regards,
