I have recently started solving the 1000 CR doc which includes many LAST reasoning questions. These questions are very different from the normal OG CR questions and my success rate on such LSAT CR question is pathethic. :( .
Do LSAT CR questions appear in GMAT exams and also is there a strategy guide for such problems. Thanks for your help.

hey are you referring to the first 20 tests which have some 20 questions in 30 minutes pattern ? I too experienced the same. In OG I am able to hit 82% rate in CR but definetly not in CR 1000 series.

Currently i left it at that and I am not doing anything to improve my CR, because I have bigger battles (DS) . I will take tests and see if I want to address the CR issue later.

I seriously wish some one could reply to us, and I want to listen to what I want to listen, that no they are different :-D

LSAT CR questions are similar to GMAT CR questions but are generally more difficult. They do share the same types of questions (e.g. both have weaken, strengthen, must be true, assumption, justify the conclusion...) question types, but the LSAT includes some additional CR question types not found on the GMAT (formal logic, parallel reasoning, etc.)

For most people, using the MGMAT CR guide or Powerscore CR guide will be sufficient in prep. If you really want to ace the CR section though, Powerscore has a LSAT Logical Reasoning Bible that is 400+ pages devoted exclusively to CR (in Lsat it is called logical reasoning).

So, yes, they are similar but unless you're aiming for 750+ it probably isn't worth it to review the LSAT bible. If you do find yourself struggling in one particular question type, however, it would be useful to flip to that portion in the LSAT guide since they cover question types extremely well.

1000 CR doc is good if you want to aim for 750+ otherwise do not spend much time on it. Rather ace your strategies from powerscore bible and try to practise from Kaplan VERBAL Work book/OG Verbal work book and go through the CR's posted in this forum.

Phew...I came across the topic accidently and what a relief, I did quite well on OG CR about a month ago, today I started CR1000 with some LSAT sections and became fully frustrated, so many mistakes. Was wondering where my logic was gone if I had any :-D
