I read a lot about online MBA, and the ones I would consider is Penn State, Drexel, UMASS Amherst. I also heard from many that I should just go to a state school vs. online degree because of networking and classroom interaction.

My manager was surprised I wanted to go to a state school and not Stanford, Santa Clara, or Berkeley. My test scores are really not that stellar, I've taken it one too many times and even took the class. I got into East Bay, but now I have doubts.

Reason for me to go back to school is to understand marketing more, build skills, higher pay. I've been working for 3 years in consulting and currently in the marketing gig. I want a higher manager position, but I know that comes with work experirence. I want to work full time and go to school part time (once a week).

Question: Is it THAT bad that I go to a state school i.e. East Bay? Or should I just not even go at all OR do an online degree.

Hey Judicious - I definitely would suggest going back to school! That's never a bad thing and can only bring good things for you in your career. Your choice whether you do a state school or online degree though. If you do online, just make sure it's accredited, because if not it's pretty much like you didn't even go and you've just wasted your time and money. You might want to check out http://www.bschool.com - lots of info about doing an MBA online and other various business programs that are good. Hope that helps :)
