Hmm. I haven't gotten any emails regarding the physical packet at all.

Probably for the foreign admits only--can't imagine they'd use anything but USPS for us domestics.

Any confirmation on when scholarship information arrives? Is it definitely in the physical welcome packet?

Yes it's in the packet.
In my case (I'm in Asia), they used DHL and it arrived Friday afternoon local time, which was really fast! But I know others in the area either not yet got the packet or no notification at all. So I think it's just a matter of time.

Does anyone know anything about the full-tuition scholarships? Are they really impressive to put on resumes?

Damn, I'm jealous--still waiting on my packet! Any full-ride is "impressive" to put on your resume--it means you're perceived as top of the class! Of course, it can end up being meaningless if you interview poorly or end up slacking, but I'd imagine if you earned it you're not that type of person. :)

Now whether it counteracts a strong desire to attend another school is a different question that only you can answer...

Have you decided to attend Darden?

Full ride at Darden vs nothing at Tuck?

Have you decided to attend Darden?

I didn't receive a dime from Darden, so it doesn't appear so. For me personally, I'd probably take a full ride at Darden, Ross or any similar school above all else aside from a H, S, or W admit.

I'm trying to decide whether or not to attend admit weekend as I will end up spending close to $700 for the plane tickets and such. Is it worth it?

if you know you are going to attend, then probably not. if you are unsure then $700 is a drop in the bucket when considering it is a decision involving 150K and 2 years of your life.

I have been to the Day@Darden, and that surely helped me to make my decision. While I had a good impression of the school from my campus and class visit, it was great to meet future and current students and get a sense what the Darden community is like.

That said, if you already have made your decision, and you don't want to spent the time and money, don't feel like you have to go...

Any R3s get their acceptance letter/package yet? Or know of a way to find out about financial aid without it?

For those admitted students who are gearing up on stuff from Amazon.com, we are eligible to a free 6 month subscription of their Amazon Student program, which gives us free 2-day shipping and some exclusive offers. It will come in handy for textbooks and stuff for our new homes. If interested, just register your .edu e-mail address to your Amazon account, through the following link:

Best of luck!
