Darden (UVA) Class of 2016: Calling all applicants!

Congrats to both you guys - and good luck! Thanks for sharing with the rest of us.

Can one of you tell us a bit more about the invitation, like, what is said in the email, when are the possible dates for an interview etc.? Would be greatly appreciated!

I got an interview invite as well around 2pm EST! I'm impressed by how quickly they got through the applications. I'm also east coast (NYC) and submitted on the day of the deadline.

Wow. Congrats, tijaco. They generally start sending invites to US applicants from November 1st. This time they are even quicker. If you don't mind please share your profile

Has anyone gotten an invite yet today?

From last year's thread it looks like invitations are only send out every few days..

Does any international applicant receive interview invite yet...?

As an international applicant, I don't expect an invitation this week. Here is once again some information from last year's thread I posted earlier:


So, strictly by the numbers, this year the first invites where on October 30th, so the first international invites would be on November 8th. I would be really suprised to get an invitation before the middle of next week.

Just received an invitation at 11:33am today for an interview. Located on the east coast. Pumped for it!

I just got an e-mail (or "email" as per the NYT) from Darden. It was not an interview invitation however, just an invitation to learn more. o.O

Seems like it has been only east coast people receiving an invite so far. Looking at last year's thread it looks like the US invites were released in 2 waves, with east coast invites going out second, so maybe they are changing it up this year a little bit.

Invites for international students will go out afterwards.

R1 East Coast applicant that received an invite to interview on the 29th! Super excited.

Got an invitation for a Skype interview! International applicant.. Seems like they are way ahead of the schedule this year. Though I don't think the decisions will be released earlier

Congrats! Hope this doesn't mean they are done with US applicant invitations.

gentlejack: The invitation was straightforward. They provided a link to the scheduler and gave information on other activities you could do during the day before/after the interview. I've already visited the school during an open house, but if you haven't before the interview I would highly recommend sitting in on a class and experiencing First Coffee.
