Data Sufficiency problem:
What fraction of this year's graduating class are males? (1) of this year's graduating class, 33% of the males and 20% of the females transferred from another college (2) of this year's graduating class, 25% transferred from another college
Can anyone explain this? Thanks!

Say,
X = total number of students graduated B = total number of boys graduated G = total number of girls graduated
State B: alone does not help me State A: alone does not help me
Taken together,
1/3 B + 1/5 G = ¼ X B+G= X We can solve this and get the ans as 5/13

wouldnt this one be E ? You dont know how many girls graduating didnt transfer right .. ?
