hi all,
I am confused by a question like this........

find the value of x:
a) (x-2)(x-3)=0
b)(x-2)(x-4) = 0

I read in one of the books (cant remember if it was PR or Kaplan) that if the values in two choices are the same then the answer for such a question should be C.........but shouldn't we have a single solution to determine the correct answer,,,,,,,,,so for a question like above what would be the answer......may be I am studying too much....... :lol:

From a) x=2 or x=3. so it is insuff. by itself
from b) x=2 or x=4 so insuff. by itself
If we combined both together, we are sure that answer is suff. because only "2" appears twice in both. So C should be answer
