How common is it for folks to start dating their classmates in Bschool?

I think this depends on you. B-school is extremely hectic. You got cases to prep, clubs to attend, briefings to schmooze, there's not a whole lot of time for you to be looking for a soulmate. Now, having said that, you will be spending a ton of time with your classmates, with whom you may develop some interest with. And if you're open to the idea of dating that person and that person is open to the idea of dating you, then it's a done deal. But this is what I meant when I wrote that it depends on you - you'll have to be open to that idea in the first place.

Wouldn't be surprised considering the amount of time you spend with your classmates.

Its fairly common for people to date and there are numerous classmates of mine who got married. You spend a lot of time with people who have a lot in common with you, are as motivated as you, successful, etc. Basically the chances of meeting the right person at b-school are better than at a random bar thats for sure.

If I don't respond to a PM that is not one of the previously mentioned trash can destined messages, please don't take it personally I get so many messages I have a hard to responding to most. The more interesting, compelling, or humorous you message the more likely I am to respond. Find out what's new at GMAT Club - latest features and updates

I was at a bar this weekend and this undergrad student hit on me. We were carrying a good conversation, then she realized that I'm older than her by almost a decade. She promptly turned around and got back to her friends.

Five years out of college, I don't think undergrads are mature enough for me to stand hanging out with, but I definitely get the allure.

I was at a work-sponsored happy hour welcoming new analysts out of college....talked to few of them, answering questions, etc....and then realized, "God, I feel old. Whatever they are talking about, I can't relate at all nor do I care." I left the new analysts and went back to my peers to complain about volatile financial market and the NY Jets. And when it comes to dating classmates, don't rush in. 1st yr is going to be hectic. 2nd yr is so much better for dating anyway. (Plus, if you guys break up during the 2nd yr, you guys will be graduating anyway)

Like many have said, I think it is almost inevitable given the amount of time you spend with classmates.
