Wow, you're way ahead of me. :)

But I can see how the 300 word essays are going to be tough. 1000 sounds about right. Then again, everyone who applies to schools with ultra short essays face the same problem, so at least you're on a level playing field.

There is a book that has Havard cohorts admission essays. It really helped me see how some people get a ton of information into 350 words.

oh yeah, that book. I've been debating whether to get it or not... since I'm not applying to Harvard.

Harvard is on the wrong coast for me :)

The book is still worth the pick-up, if only to read great (and brief) essays.
