Hope everyone is benefiting by participating in GMAT Challenges. We want to take this project to the next level. My goal here is to reinforce my talk with action. Remember i am always talking, talking and talking about how conceptual learning is so important. well, now i found a way to make it work. ( i hope
When i wrote my first GMAT challenge ( it was Challenge 3, i think), i realised how great a learning experience it was. I went back and really made sure that i totally understood a concept before i wrote a question.
Dont take my word for it. Just try to develop 10 Hard relevant GMAT quality questions and proper explanations per day. You will see how amazing the impact this has on your thought process. Almost every time you write a hard question, you will be forced to think very hard about a concept, the structure of the question etc. It fits like a glove into my idea of conceptual learning. I have learnt so many things just by writing one challenge.
We invite our members to write a GMAT Math or GMAT Verbal Challenge. I request members to try and write atleast one challenge , atleast one complete challenge. You will hold all copyright for the challenges. If we do sell archives of your challenges, you may choose to keep 60% of the money from archive sales or donate the money to the club. we leave the decision to you. It wont be a lot of money, but i guess thats not the goal here. In true community spirit, you will benefit and the community will benefit. You will learn from others expertise and others will learn from your expertise.
Another option is that you can focus on just one area, the area that you are having most trouble on. so, you may write 30 probability questions or something like that.
you can send in your questions AND explanations to your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org
.alternatively, you can post your questions on the Math or Verball forums, discuss the solutions and then after you are convinced, you can send the Questions and explanations.
Hope you guys like the idea.
