lifeisshort - this was exactly the same boat I was in... I started studying in May 2010 and I recently had no idea how to revise the MGMAT books... but now after much deliberation, thinknig and crawling through GMATClub for tips and advice now I've got my confidence back and realised I'm weak in some areas and strong in others (after doing a lot of OG questions and a GMAT Prep test)... so now I know what to focus on heavily and what to leave aside unless I have time to go back over it.

I also remembered how to study math again (it's been 10 years since high school and I didn't do much math at all in university)...

and here's the list of flash cards I've done so far... more like little personal 'tests' of the material/content rather than flash cards, with each flash card forcing me to think about the concept a bit and sometimes try and explain it to be able to answer the question - it's a great way of cementing knowledge into my forgetful brain!

most of the flashcards are pretty much finished but some need to be completed still (like Critical Reasoning for example)...

do these flash cards I swear they will help you a lot, just do them say 20 minutes daily, but regularly. You'll start to remember the concepts MGMAT goes on about in their books (which are extremely useful btw) and before you know it you'll have cemented a lot of the concepts really well into your brain.

a note about the study notes i just posted:

I went through some of the MGMAT books again (still doing some as we speak) and made summarised notes of each one, into short 'bite-sized' pieces of information for each chapter of the key points. Also any points when I reread each chapter that I was still ocnfused about or not 100% on I made sure I understood them and wrote them into the summarised notes.

I'm currently in the process of doing a 'chapter confidence level' assessment to see how I'm feeling, confidence wise, with the material covered in each chapter.

also, any tips or tricks I come across whilst doing questions, readings etc. that I didn't konw about I've been collecting into a document (GMAT Tricks v2.doc) and have been making notes of the areas of revision I need to go over again as I work through the OG questions and do practice tests.

and I would like to give one last word of advice : DON'T GIVE UP!!! I'm still struggling, I'm still here, and I'm more motivated than ever again - I've been through what you're going through about a month ago and I got through it!

Lots of people have said this already, and at the cost of sounding repetitive, I will echo the same sentiment, the GMAT is not a test of your intelligence in anyway. So the worst thing you can do to yourself is think that you have a learning disorder based on what you are scoring in the GMAT; I don't think there is any correlation or causation to be had there.

There is a lot of useful posts here already, all I'd like to say is that this is a very helpful community and in case you have doubts or problems you should definitely share them here and I am sure you will find someone or the other to help you or make things more clear which will certainly help.
