Desautels (McGill U) 2013 - Calling All MBA Applicants

Thank you for the advice , temoud . I contacted Jonathan and he confirmed it can work that way . The problem now is that the nearest GMAT appointment available is the 20th of May !!! Which means that the official score will not , most probably , reach them by the end of May.Nevertheless , I will apply and when , hopefully , I revenge with a good score I will fax to Jonathan the unofficial score until receiving the official one .I believe if they found the overall application good and eventually backed up with a GMAT success story at last , they might forgive a few days of obligatory delay.Anyway , I will not throw my gun till he end of he battle

I don't think there's any particular day in which decisions are rendered. But hang in there, i'm sure you'll get the final decision soon enough.

Jonathan told me it takes 1-2 weeks for results. I am also waiting.

Does Desautels offer TA positions to its students

As far as I know, McGill used to offer TA positions to students within the engineering department. Therefore I am almost certain that Desautels offers that as well.

Woah! The school has had an average class size of 65-70 students for the past few years and the FB group already has 72 members! Does that mean that Desautels in done with selecting its class for this year?

No, it means that a lot of current students are part of the group as well. I think we're about 60% done with selection at this point.

Going by simple mathematics, 55% of the class is from outside Canada (March 15th deadline), so we can safely assume this would be almost completely full by now (or would be full in another week or so). Also, even if we consider only 50% of Canadian enrolments till today, that makes almost 75 to 80% of the Class being enrolled.

Where did they mention that 55% of the students are from outside Canada ??? This is a brand new info to me .

By the way I am writing my essay at the moment .... do I have to submit as a pdf file or MS word document ? and what is the ideal format ?? I am writing the prompt and writing my response just under it . Is this OK?
